A Celebration of Stories - Author Development Program 2026 Finale

Join us for an evening of good stories, great company, yummy food, and fabulous music, on June 10, 7-9pm, at the Wild Rose Brewery.

Enjoy an evening full of stories and music, from outstanding writers and fantastic musical performances from Café Rosé (aka Ben Rose).

Proceeds from this event go toward the Author Development Program, a program under AWCS, a not-for-profit organization.

Listen to excellent stories of up and coming authors in Canada. They are Story Makers who are part of the 2026 Author Development Program (ADP), a creative writing mentorship program at the Alexandra Writers Centre Society (AWCS). It pairs authors who are working on novels and collections with established literary mentors.

Our Story Makers will be readings excerpts from their manuscripts. And, Story Coaches and Story Makers will be there for conversations and celebration on creative writing and mentorship.

Your ticket includes catered food and the musical performance. There will be a cash bar.

These writers have been working hard together since January to bring these literary projects to completion. Now, they are ready to showcase their stories.

NOTE: This event takes place at Wild Rose Brewery at 4580 Quesnay Wood Dr SW, Calgary (map). Proceeds from this event go toward the Author Development Program.
