L'Arche Solidarity Music Night with Dom Durner

L’Arche Winnipeg is a vibrant disability services organization that is primarily located in Transcona and St. Boniface. For over 50 years, we have been actively supporting, creating homes, and facilitating social opportunities for about 25 people living with intellectual disabilities, along with their assistants. Our diverse community includes six houses, one Supported Independent Living unit, the L'Arche Tova Café and an extended network of friends who are passionate about creating a world where all people can thrive.

Thank you for celebrating and supporting L'Arche communities around the world, we look forward to seeing you at the event!

Join us for an evening of music with London-based folk and jazz artist Dom Durner at our L'Arche Tova Cafe (119 Regent Ave W, Winnipeg, MB, Canada). Ticket sales from this event go towards Solidarity, which supports L’Arche International communities around the world. Dom Durner is a distinctive and versatile singer based in London, known for his unique sound and style. He started singing at a very young age and started his career when he moved to the UK in 2006.
Inspired by his multi cultural upbringing, Dom Durner has had a very large international scene of music to look into, and found influences from the likes of Robert Plant, Chris Cornell, Jeff Buckley, Ray Charles, James Brown, Joe Cocker, Paolo Conte, Fred Buscaglione, Jacques Brel, Serge Gainsbourg and many more.
Dom has fronted 3 original bands and 4 Cover bands over the years, and has toured throughout the UK and Europe. He is known for his powerful, raspy baritone voice, that sets him apart and leaves a lasting impression on audiences. Our Solidarity Fundraising Events are a powerful example of the teamwork required to sustain L’Arche’s mission of inclusion and belonging for all. In “Solidarity,” L’Arche communities like ours fundraise to support L’Arche communities around the world who need more support: those who receive little or no government funding; who experience the insecurity of environmental crises; who live with the uncertainty of civil unrest or war. In times of need, these communities are supported by L’Arche International, who distributes the Solidarity Funds that are raised – in small but not insignificant part – by our Solidarity Music Nights.
