About this event
Get ready for a Sunday afternoon filled with baking, learning, and meaningful connections!
In this hands-on, 3-hour workshop, you’ll dive into the art and science of sourdough bread-making. We’ll walk through every step (and there are many 😉) of creating the perfect loaf at home. You’ll also learn how to care for your starter, activate it, and bake not just bread -but other delicious treats too.
This workshop isn’t only about baking. It’s also about coming together, meeting new people, and sharing food, conversation, and laughter.
What’s included
✨ Tastings & Snacks – Enjoy freshly baked sourdough bread paired with a variety of dips (like hummus) and other finger foods.
✨ Sourdough Scones + Coffee – Freshly baked sourdough scones served with freshly brewed Colombian coffee beans. You’ll also learn about high-quality coffee beans and have the option to purchase some to take home.
✨ Special Guest Experience – Monica, founder of Elixir Vitae, will guide us through the world of premium olive oil. She’ll explain the three key elements that make an olive oil truly extra virgin (and real), so you’ll know exactly what to look for when buying. You’ll also receive a handy take-home sheet with this knowledge for future reference. Of course, we’ll be tasting her oil with fresh bread, and you’ll have the opportunity to purchase bottles at a special event price.
✨ Take-Home Goodies – A complete recipe sheet for sourdough bread and scones, plus your very own sourdough starter to keep the baking magic alive at home.
📓 Tip: Bring a notebook and pen if you’d like to jot down extra notes during the workshop.
