Art Camp for ages 8-13. Join artist Ali Casey for an introduction to mixed media!

July 21– 24, 2026 | Tuesday – Friday | 10AM – 3PMCost: $275/$325 (Member/Non-Member)Ages: 8-13, Max 12 participantsInstructor: Ali CaseyIn this camp, young artists will have a chance to explore different materials and creative processes. From collage and sculpture to working with fibre and other materials, youth will play, experiment and learn a range of new techniques and media. Ali Casey is a weaver, painter, workshop facilitator for Red Cedar Woman Weaving Studio, and all-around artist with a wealth of experience teaching art to children and youth in school, community and arts settings. Are they curious about art making? Are they keen to learn new skills and techniques? Does the opportunity to be hands-on and learn from professional artists in our community excite them?Our camps bring young artists together with professional artists to learn skills such as textiles and fibre, mixed media, and drawing. Participants will learn and make art in our beautiful studio for most of the day, with breaks outdoors exploring the natural spaces near the Arts Centre. Camp runs 10:00am – 3:00pm each day, with a break provided for lunch. Participants must bring their own lunch and a water bottle!
