Empower Her
Women teaching women - deepening faith, unlocking gifts, and calling you into your God-given purpose, power, and influence.
Empower Her: Perspective, Power, Influence, Impact Conference 2026
Date: October 16-17, 2026
Location: Faith Alive Family Church – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Hosted by: Women’s Journey of Faith
A conference for women, taught by women.
Women teaching women matters, and it matters deeply.
When women engage Scripture with intellectual curiosity and spiritual conviction, they show us what’s possible. Female teachers help us recognize our own capacity to know God through study, reflection, and a faith that asks hard questions. They draw on illustrations rooted in the realities of women’s lives — not borrowed from someone else’s experience but spoken directly into womanhood. And perhaps most simply: Christian womanhood can only be modelled by women.
Our Empower Her speaker lineup brings together a team of women uniquely gifted as disciplers — women who draw others near to the Lord, deepen biblical understanding, and call out the gifts God has already placed within you.
Come expecting to:
✨ Engage Scripture with curiosity, conviction, and practical wisdom
✨ Encounter God in worship that moves beyond the surface
✨ Connect with women who are serious about their faith and each other
✨ Experience prayer and ministry that addresses you personally
✨ Discover and develop the gifts God has already placed within you
✨ Create space to hear His voice — and the courage to respond
We are honoured to welcome an incredible lineup of women who carry wisdom, leadership experience, and a heart to empower others:
Anne Miranda – Anne Miranda is a leader of leaders. With a background in education, Anne speaks and trains teams worldwide, inspiring people to rise up and lead in their own spheres of influence, whether in boardrooms, classrooms, or ministry settings. Anne’s contagious passion for Jesus helps equip people to find their own passion.
Heather Tomes – Heather is a psychologist and educator with a deep passion for helping women grow in both emotional and spiritual health. Through her work, she is committed to equipping women with practical tools and insight to better understand themselves, navigate life’s challenges, and experience meaningful transformation.
Stephanie Christianson – Stephanie is a theologian who finds joy in helping others think deeply about God, the Bible, and how to live faithfully as Jesus’ disciples. She does this in her work as an academic administrator, as a pastor’s wife, and a mom to her two young sons.
Cheryl Nembhard – Cheryl Nembhard is a dynamic speaker, podcaster, TV host, and justice advocate. Her dedication to community service includes working with at-risk youth, former gang members, sexual assault victims, and teenage mothers. She has been named one of the 'Top 100 Women to Watch in Canada,' and CBC Canada has recognized her as one of 150 women who are making Canada a better place.
Carmen Kampman – A trusted spiritual leader, ordained by the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, Carmen has a mission to mentor women and help people draw near to Jesus. She is the Assistant Professor of Leadership and Spiritual Formation at Horizon College & Seminary and a Soulhood Practitioner.
Bring your friends, sisters, daughters, ministry teams, and coworkers and join us for an unforgettable weekend of empowerment and connection.
