Fish Creek Concerts presents David Francey

David Francey is one of Canada’s great folk storytellers — a Scottish-born, Canadian-raised carpenter-turned-songwriter whose songs find poetry in working lives, quiet places, hard miles, and the small moments that say everything.

A four-time JUNO Award winner, Francey has built a remarkable career on beautifully plainspoken songs, warm humour, and the kind of storytelling that makes a concert feel like an evening around the kitchen table with an old friend.

His recent studio album, The Breath Between, won the 2024 JUNO Award for Traditional Roots Album of the Year, and his latest release, Maps – Songs of David Francey, gathers some of his most loved and requested songs from across the years — a fitting reminder of just how deeply his music has travelled with people.
