Exploring Grief Through Creativity Workshop - Mini Books

Exploring Grief Through Creativity Workshop - Mini Books

Victoria Hospice Community Support CentreVictoria, BC
Thursday, July 16  •  10 AM - 12 PM
Overview

Get creative with mini books as a way to explore and express your feelings about grief in a supportive space.

If you are grieving the death of a loved one, and are inspired by art-making and creativity, join us for an Exploring Grief through Creativity workshop. Facilitated by a Victoria Hospice Bereavement Counsellor with Expressive Arts training, we provide a non-judgmental creative container for you to access and explore your experiences of grief through various visual art supplies. In this workshop we will be creating some mini books where you can write a meaningful poem or special memories. No prior “art” experience is required to participate – just a willingness and interest to try something creative.

What to expect:

· Welcome and introduction;

· An opportunity for creative exploration in mini book making;

· A guided reflective writing exercise;

· A group discussion and invitation to share with other participants.

· Tea/coffee and some snacks will be available.

All supplies are provided.
