Whitney Ross-Barris is an Ontario-based singer, pianist and songwriter with proud roots in the theatre. With a velvet voice and a sharp wit, her songs as well as her live performances are an inviting and unexpectedly immersive experience of off-the-cuff story-telling and exciting musicianship. Her latest release "Curtains of Light" is a genre-bending record of original music rooted in jazz but woven through with threads of soul, spoken word, classical, folk and choral music.

The critically-acclaimed album reflects the full breadth of her artistic experience—intimate and expansive in equal measure.
