Lavern Pollinator Gardens

Lavern Pollinator Gardens

Overview

Come learn about our bumble bees, pollinator gardens, and native plants.

Curious about the bumble bees living in your garden? Join us for a hands-on learning and volunteer event where you’ll gain basic bumble bee identification skills and learn about bumble bee species at risk (Bohemian cuckoo, suckley’s cuckoo, western and yellow banded), pollinator gardens, and native plants.

Over two volunteer planting days, participants can choose to attend one or both days. Together, we will plant flowers and shrubs that provide important forage, shelter, and habitat for pollinators and bumble bees.

Participants will explore the importance of native plants and discover the Bumble Bee species — Namoo (Blackfoot) — that call our watershed home. This multi-purpose event combines education, habitat restoration, and community stewardship.
