Community Engagement Session: Kingfisher School & Property
Join us for a Community Engagement Session on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 4:30 to 6:30 PM at the Kingfisher Community Hall.
Attention: Kingfisher Area Residents & Business Owners!
Let’s shape the future of the Kingfisher School Property together. Join us to share your vision.
Since the community stepped up in 2007 to establish the borrowing service area and acquire this beloved property, it has been a true community-funded asset. Now, as we approach the official transition of the asset in 2027, it’s time to plan for what comes next.
Following a recent third-party facility audit requested by the Kingfisher Community Society, the Regional District of the North Okanagan (RDNO) has partnered with Community Futures North Okanagan to host this interactive session.
This is your opportunity to share your visions, ideas, and priorities for the old school building and grounds.
The feedback gathered during this event will directly shape the survey questions going out to the broader community this summer, ensuring local voices guide exactly how this space can best serve all of us moving forward.
Come have your say, connect with neighbors, enjoy some light refreshments, and help build the next chapter for Kingfisher!
If you have any questions or concerns about this event, please reach out to Karen Savill at karens@futuresbc.com.
