Capilano University Alumni Dragon Boating in Squamish
Join us in beautiful Squamish for a morning of dragon boating with alumni!
Join us for an exhilarating morning on the water as we paddle together through Cattermole Slough and out into Howe Sound (weather permitting). No experience necessary!
Dragon boating is an exciting team water sport that combines synchronized paddling, teamwork, strength, and rhythm, guided by a drummer and steersperson. Whether you're brand new to the sport or simply looking for a fun way to connect with fellow alumni, this event is a great opportunity to get out on the water and try something new.
We'll start with a warm-up and an introduction to the basics of paddling, including how teamwork powers the boat. Then we'll head out for a fun-filled paddle on the water, followed by an optional casual social gathering at a nearby venue afterward.
The paddle will last approximately 45–60 minutes and is a perfect introduction to dragon boating.
Family welcome! Children must be 6+ and accompanied by parents.
Cost: $20 per person
