Kintsugi Workshop -The art of Joining broken pieces with Gold.

The Creativity CampusToronto, ON
Overview

Kintsugi — Learn the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. A workshop that celebrates the beauty of imperfection.

The Art of Kintsugi

"It is in our cracks that the light finds its way in."

Kintsugi is the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold — and one of the most powerful metaphors for the human experience. Rather than concealing cracks and imperfections, Kintsugi honours them, transforming brokenness into something even more extraordinary.

In this hands-on, beginner-friendly two-and-a-half workshop, you will be guided step by step through the process of creating your very own Kintsugi piece. We begin by exploring the meaning behind Kin (golden) Tsugi (joining), then move into the creative process of restoring your choosen piece using a modern technique inspired by this ancient tradition.

This is more than an art class. It is a creative, meditative, and deeply inspiring experience that invites you to slow down, embrace imperfection, and leave with a stunning piece of art, a renewed appreciation for your own resilience, and a beautiful skill to add to your creative toolbox.
