Music in the Park(ing Lot)

Neighbors and music lovers are invited to Music in the Park(ing Lot), a completely free music concert at 1504 Sprice Ave, Coquitlam - Good Shepherd Lutheran.

On Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, outdoor parking lot will transform into a vibrant community hub. The gathering will be welcomed with by the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm First Nation with the goal of bringing residents together and spotlighting incredible local talent.

The event features free BBQ & dessert while supplies last. Alongside the food, dedicated kids activities will run throughout the day to keep young children entertained.

The afternoon showcases a continuous, multi-genre live music lineup designed to appeal to every generation:

• Jazz: Smooth, intricate sounds from The Nikolaj Hansen Quartet.
• Folk: Heartfelt, community-driven acoustic melodies from Yvon Malenfant & Friends.
• Rock: A high-energy, nostalgic classic rock finale from The Gift Shop - The Ultimate Tribute to the Tragically Hip.

Admission is 100% free. No digital tickets, pre-registration, or check-ins are required, but iif you sign up it helps us with food counts. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets, and reusable water bottles.
