Summary:
Mile End Kicks (2025) is a Canadian coming-of-age romantic comedy written and directed by Chandler Levack. Set in Montreal during the 2011 indie rock boom, the film stars Barbie Ferreira as Grace Pine, an idealistic, underappreciated music journalist who leaves Toronto on a book advance to write about Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill.
Instead of working on her manuscript, Grace gets sidetracked when she becomes the publicist for a local, abrasive garage-rock band called Bone Patrol. The summer descends into haphazard, cringe-worthy chaos as she neglects her professional responsibilities and becomes romantically entangled with two of the band's contrasting members: the polite, celibate guitarist Archie and the manipulative, egomaniacal frontman Chevy.
