Kids Studio — Imagining Spaces: Mini Installations & Creative Photography.
Families with children ages 7-12 are invited to explore themes from our current exhibitions through art making activities.
Families with children ages 7–12 ONLY (recommended due to the more detailed, hands-on nature of the program) are invited to join us at Esker Foundation for an imaginative and creative workshop hands on workshop.
What will be be doing ?
Inspired by the immersive artwork of Zadie Xa, participants will discover how artists can transform an entire space into an artwork that shapes how we feel, think, and experience our surroundings.
After exploring the exhibition together, children will design and build and photgraph their own miniature installation inside a diorama, considering atmosphere, scale, materials, colour, and light similar to one of our current installations: Zadie Xa with Benito Mayor Vallejo | Moonlit Confessions Across Deep Sea Echoes: Your Ancestors Are Whales, and Earth Remembers Everything
Kids Studio is a series of hands-on workshops designed for children aged 7 to 12 where they can independently explore their creativity through artistic experimentation and imaginative play. Each workshop introduces conceptual and creative ways of thinking encouraging them to have fun creating with each other!
