The Motown Tribute Orchestra
The 10-piece Motown Tribute Orchestra performs some of the greatest hits of soul music that define the unique style and sound of Motown.
The Motown Tribute Orchestra is a ten-piece ensemble that performs hits made by Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, Al Green, Stevie Wonder, and many more.
The group features award-winning lead vocalist Thomas Alexander (The Voice), and two soulful backup singers.
Formed by Musical Director John Gray, bassist and leader on the Calgary jazz scene who toured with the Ray Charles Orchestra, an ensemble of Calgary’s finest musicians will recreate the one-of-a-kind sound of Motown and perform such hits as What’s Going On, Superstition, My Girl, Ain’t Too Proud To Beg, and more.
Featuring award-winning Thomas Alexander on lead vocals, the group includes a solid rhythm section, a killer horn section, and two soulful backup singers.
