How do I join the session?

You will receive an email reminder before the workshop starts from Eventbrite. Please click the orange “join now” button. You will be admitted to a waiting room and let into the meeting room by your host (AECENL) close to the start time of the event.

Once I am in the waiting room, what happens next?

When you click the orange “join now” button, you will enter the Zoom waiting room. The host will let you into the room approximately 5 minutes before the start time.

How do I change my screen name if it’s not already displayed correctly?

To change your screen name, you can either hover over your picture and select “rename”, or find yourself in the list of participants, select the three dots (...) and select “rename”. If you need help changing your name, please direct message the host (AECENL) and let them know.

Question 4

How do I receive a PL certificate for the workshop?

Accepted Answer

To receive a PL Certificate, have your name displayed in full, be online for a minimum of 90% of the duration of the workshop, and complete the exit form at the end of the workshop. PL certificates will only be issued if an exit form has been submitted.

Question 5

How will my name appear on the PL Certificate?

Accepted Answer

Your name will appear on the PL Certificate exactly as you enter it into the PL Exit Form, and it is case-sensitive.

Question 6

Where will AECENL send my PL Certificate?

Accepted Answer

Your PL Certificate will be emailed to the exact address entered into the PL Exit Form. Please ensure you have entered your email correctly, otherwise it will bounce back.

Can I ask questions during the workshop?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Please feel free to use the "chat" function at any time or use the “raise hand” option if you would like to unmute and ask a question during a workshop.

Question 8

Will the workshop be recorded?

Accepted Answer

No, AECENL does not record its Live Workshop Series or Communities of Practice, unless the facilitator gives us specific permission to do so. If the workshop is recorded, participants will be notified and given the choice to turn off their cameras.

Question 9

When will I receive my PL Certificate?

Accepted Answer

AECENL aims to email PL Certificates within one week. If you have not received a PL Certificate by email after one week, please check your junk and spam folders before contacting the office.
