Reel Pride exists to celebrate queer media arts and to contribute to community vitality by programming materials that focus on issues of importance to Winnipeg’s queer community. We promote queer media arts to foster dialogue on issues of importance to our community in a public, accessible and safe space, as well as celebrating queer artists and stories both locally and from around the world.REEL PRIDE  is a public space where queer artists and stories are celebrated and promoted through cinema.Access to artistic work that might not otherwise be screened in Winnipeg.A forum to engage in deliberation and dialogue on issues of importance to the queer community; locally, regionally and internationally.A celebration of Winnipeg’s diversity and an increased awareness and understanding of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, two-spirit, Queer and questioning communities.REEL PRIDE Film festival functions as an incorporated not for profit organization registered as the Winnipeg Gay and Lesbian Film Society. We are a volunteer board run organisation.

Join us for the 2026 Reel Pride Arts &amp; International Film Festival—a celebration of 2SLGBTQ+ cinema, art, community, and connection.Under this year’s themes, “A Reason to Gather and Celebrate” and “Your True Colours,” Reel Pride invites audiences to come together and experience powerful stories that reflect the diversity, resilience, creativity, and joy of our communities.Festivalgoers can look forward to an exciting selection of Canadian and international films, featuring bold new voices, compelling stories, and authentic 2SLGBTQ+ perspectives from Canada and around the world.The festival also features a week-long art exhibition showcasing the creativity of talented artists, as well as our Short Film Celebration, bringing together an outstanding collection of short films created by filmmakers from across Canada. It’s an opportunity to discover emerging talent and experience diverse stories from communities throughout the country.Whether you are a longtime Reel Pride supporter or joining us for the first time, there is something for everyone.
