Connecting for Caring on Prince Edward Island
We hope you can join us at the Charlottetown Library for an afternoon of storytelling, art, music, and conversation.
Every day, people across Prince Edward Island are caring with family members, friends, neighbours and indeed strangers. Much of this caring happens quietly. It is the invisible yet indispensable force that binds us together in community.
Connecting for Caring brings stories from the new book Courage to Care: Ripples of Love in Action off the page and into a day of art, readings, music and conversation. Contributors from PEI and the Maritimes will help host the gathering.
The book is a collection of more than 160 stories, poems, photographs, artworks, songs and recipes from the Maritimes and across the country. Together, these contributions reveal the love, courage, beauty and humanity found in everyday caring—and how deeply it connects families, communities and people across Canada.
When caring becomes more visible, it can also become more valued and better supported.
