Vox Humana Chamber Choir presents: Vox in the Stars

Vox in the Stars is a truly unique musical event: audience and singers come together in the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory for a concert of evocative, celestially-inspired choral music performed under the stars, within the historic Plaskett Telescope dome.

This year’s program will feature a brand new commission by Montreal-based composer and Vox Humana alum Esther-Ruth Teel, along with other pieces that explore themes of astronomy, science, the splendour of the heavens, and our place in the cosmos, ranging from the unique intersection of Indigenous and European perspectives in Andrew Balfour’s choral music, to the mysticism of Arvo Pärt, and the clever lyrics of Elle Cordova.
