GOLDEN JUBILEE GREENWAY MARKHAM ONTARIO, Saturday October3, 2026

Please join 10,000 Trees for the Rouge in our ongoing efforts of helping to restore the Rouge Valley watershed, improving the natural environment in our communities.

This Community event at Goldent Jubilee Greenway in Markham,will help 10,000 Trees plant 640 trees and shrubs, that will add to previous plantings, helping to restoring the parks area to its natural habitat.

PARKING AND CHECK-IN

Please follow all area parking and traffic regulations. All volunteers should park on near by residential streets, there is no parking in the laneways.

Upon arrival, please CHECK-IN with 10,000 Trees Staff at the Registration Area with your Eventbrite ticket QR code ready.

10,000 Trees will be sending further detailed instructions to all registered Volunteers 4 to 5 days prior to the event.

HEALTH, SAFETY and GENERAL INFORMATION

• All participants are advised that appropriate clothing for weather conditions should be worn. We recommend long pants, sturdy footwear, and garden/planting gloves.

• Participants are asked to bring their own sunscreen, bug repellent and a reusable filled water bottle.

• ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE ASKED TO BRING THEIR OWN FULL-SIZE SHOVEL, and 5 -gallon BUCKET.
• Participants who do not have a shovel can request one by emailing Patrick at vchair@10000trees.com
• NO Washroom /Toilet facilities are available at this site.

REGISTRATION FOR TICKETS IN EVENTBRITE

SELECT ONLY ONE TYPE OF TICKET - Each Adult MUST register for their own ticket in their own name. TICKET HOLDERS MUST BE 18+ YEARS OF AGE.

• EACH ADULT MUST register and have a ticket in their OWN name.
• MINOR CHILDREN (under 18 years) DO NOT NEED their own ticket. They can be added to the ticket of the Adult who will be responsible for them. (see below).

• FAMILIES WITH MINOR CHILDREN - If a family (or adult guardian) is bringing minor children, (under 18 years of age) only ONE ADULT in the family needs to add the minor(s) to their ticket during the registration process. The other ADULT (s) must sign up for an Adult Planter ticket in their own name.

**CORPORATE AND COMMUNITY GROUPS

• Each adult person in the group must register for this own ticket in their own name (Eventbrite does not have a group registration feature)

PLANTING COACH REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have previous Planting Coach training and experience with 10,000 trees.

CANCELLING YOUR REGISTRATION/TICKET

If you are unable to attend the event for any reason, please CANCEL your registration in EVENTBRITE following the instructions provided in the e-mail confirming your registration and ticket.
