Sesemiya (Tracy Cameron): For 20+ years, Sesemiya has been engaged with revitalizing Coast Salish cultural practices. Through research, collaborative experimentation, and consultation with Knowledge Keepers, Sesemiya’s work embodies her deep knowledge of Skwxwu7mesh lands and waters. A fifth-generation cedar weaver, the objects she makes extend directly from her practice of gathering and preparing wild materials. Her work has appeared in exhibitions at Vancouver Art Gallery, Bill Reid Gallery, Polygon Gallery and the Contemporary Art Gallery. In 2021, a commissioned work of Sesemiya’s was included in the Vancouver Art Gallery’s presentation of Yoko Ono’s Water Event. Sesemiya is a proud member of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Nation.Windermere Jazz Band is an off-timetable course composed of Grade 9-12 students. The Jazz Band offers students the opportunity to play many different styles of music within the jazz idiom, including blues, funk, Latin, swing, and rock styles. The Jazz Band is essentially a music community within the program, as they work together closely, go on field trips to watch and learn from professionals, and study the history of this incredibly diverse art form.BallyClaire is a Vancouver-based songwriter and self-produced artist originally from Australia, creating alt-folk/rock that moves between quiet confession and emotional release. Written across hundreds of songs over the past decade, her work explores grief, belonging, and the fragile beauty of being human. Her performances are adaptable to space and setting, shaped by atmosphere, presence, and connection. Influenced by Joni Mitchell, The Cranberries, and Adrianne Lenker, her sound blends folk intimacy with alternative edge. He always had a pot of coffee, a lit cigarette, and an old tape recorder. They would hide in the next room and listen to the stories their dad would create. Their love of music and storytelling would eventually inspire them to start performing alongside their dad and create their own space in the global music landscape. Ana Polgár is an urban planner who developed a love for painting and eco-arts. After a couple of years working in urban planning for climate change adaptation in Europe, Asia, and Africa, she moved to Vancouver to conduct doctoral research. Her practice and research on ecosystem-based adaptation and socio-spatial justice are driven by curiosity, compassion, and a love for nature. This is also reflected in her colourful illustrations and her work with Still Moon Arts. Pili’s art is inspired by their own fantasy, dreams, nature, as well as myths and legends from various cultures. This symbolises the shared human experience of wonder and curiosity of the world around us. Jenik’s current creative activity spans “data humanization” performances, ECOtarot readings, and experiments in extreme experiential learning. Jangmi Choi is a communication design student, designer, and maker based in Vancouver. She is interested in observing and documenting small moments encountered in nature and everyday life, and sharing those experiences through photography, illustration, design, and handmade work.Marcela J Villaca is a visual artist born and raised in Brazil who migrated to Coast Salish lands a decade ago. Her work tells stories of belonging, movement, play, and the many relations connecting humans and the land. She creates with pencils, acrylics, collage, watercolors, crayons, and digital tools. Marcela sells original artworks, art prints, and merch. Balkan Shmalkan is East Vancouver’s Trubaci orchestra; think global music with a local attitude. Their funky brass beats are rooted in the aural traditions of the Roma and Klezmorim of Eastern Europe and blended with pop and jazz. Members of the group sing in Serbian, Romani, and Italian. Adele Neuman is a multidisciplinary artist inspired by nature, imagination, and the hidden life within urban spaces. Focusing on handcrafted lanterns that blend organic forms with storytelling, her work explores the interconnectedness of the natural and built world, transforming varied materials into illuminated sculptural forms. I'm a multidisciplinary maker working with sculpture, textiles, and installation. The ensemble is centred around two pairs of metallophones and a gong. Since 2018, the ensemble has been performing mostly new works composed by Michael O'Neill, and premiered the shadowplay Show on Earth in September 2024 at Performance Works, Granville Island. The group is intercultural, with five gamelan players, including renowned Balinese musician and composer I Putu Swaryandana Ichi Ocha (Ryan), and three string players (violin, viola, cello).GlassBloom Studio: Sana Biden (Oxana Baydina) is a contemporary stained glass and mixed-media artist based in British Columbia. Classically trained in Moscow, she creates illuminated artworks inspired by insects, forests, wetlands, and mythology. Using vintage glass, mosaic, and layered mixed-media techniques, she explores light, transparency, and fragile ecosystems. Since moving to Canada in 2016, she has exhibited across BC. Her practice spans drawing, sculpture, time-based media, zine-making, photography, and digital design. Holding degrees in Visual Arts and Industrial Design (the latter inspired by environmental sustainability), she now focuses on creative work with children using recycled offcuts. She holds a degree from Emily Carr University in Interaction Design with a Social Practice and Community Engagement minor. Tiffany believes in everyday acts of kindness — picking up litter, smiling at pigeons, or sharing space and food with those in need. Their millennial/Gen Alpha creative process is full of silliness and play. With a bit of focus and melded skills, they share their joy for the neighbourhood. They made their first lantern together in 2025 and felt inspired to go bigger this year.Willoughby Arévalo is an interdisciplinary artist, mycologist, and educator building relationships between humans, fungi, and other beings. He has worked with Still Moon Arts since 2013 as lead artist on community eco-art works, including We All Belong, Fruiting Bodies, and Beaver Pondering Lodging, and as contributing artist and educator elsewhere. (<a href="https://artandfungi.org/" title="https://artandfungi.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Web</a>)Winderemere Secondary Leadership Program Students have created lantern installations for the Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival most years since the festival's inception.Yoko Tomito, originally from Osaka, Japan, has led many community-engaged art projects in East Vancouver, including street banners, the Salmon Creek and water fountain mosaics, and multicultural community murals. She also practices textile art and Japanese sashiko mending for upcycling clothing and teaches painting, sketching, and watercolour at an East Vancouver community centre. Her lanterns appear annually at the Moon and Winter Solstice Festivals.

The Heartbeets was born from a shared passion for a cappella music among friends. This ensemble choir values crafting their arrangements and honing their performances, from indie rock to R&amp;B hits. Since their UBC days, their synergy has flourished over eight years of collaboration. Like a warm beet salad, let their voices nourish your soul. Produced by Still Moon Arts. Puppet built by Carmen Rosen with Willoughby Arévalo, Liz Oakley, Sesemiya and Joe Boyd, with participation from over 750 community members. Performance created by Isabelle Kirouac with community members.Carmen Rosen is a visual artist, singer, and interdisciplinary performer with a long history of community art projects. Through Still Moon Arts, she has collaborated with many partners to create the Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival and other projects highlighting the ravine, Still Creek, and urban salmon. She leads workshops on dyes, lanterns, puppets, and costumes. Guided by land-based practices and interspecies relationships, she has taught movement to young people for nearly 20 years, often creating performance work in collaboration with her students. Curtis Andrews channels West African, South Indian, and jazz traditions into a vast rhythmic language, while multi-instrumentalist Greg Valou brings a heavy prog rock edge and experimental intensity. Together they build unclassifiable sound, where deep tradition and freewheeling improvisation share the stage in equal measure.Sesemiya (Tracy Cameron): For 20+ years, Sesemiya has been engaged with revitalizing Coast Salish cultural practices. Through research, collaborative experimentation and consultation with Knowledge Keepers, Sesemiya’s work embodies her deep knowledge of Skwxwu7mesh lands and waters. A fifth-generation cedar weaver, the objects she makes extend directly from her practice of gathering and preparing wild materials. Her work has appeared in exhibitions at Vancouver Art Gallery, Bill Reid Gallery, Polygon Gallery and the Contemporary Art Gallery. In 2021, a commissioned work of Sesemiya’s was included in the Vancouver Art Gallery’s presentation of Yoko Ono’s Water Event.
