Meigan Swanson (Expression Sessions) is passionate about empowering others to find their  authentic self-expression through the transformative powers of art creation, embodiment, and playfulness. She prides herself in creating spaces infused with ritual and ceremony that foster emotional connections, self-discovery, and a deep sense of safety. As a seasoned art therapist, early interventionist, and community builder, her approach is richly informed by attachment theory, trauma-informed practices, and interpersonal neurobiology. Her lifelong involvement in dance and gymnastics fuels her passion for tapping into the body's wisdom—whether through sensuality, movement, or inward reflection. Meigan holds a deep reverence for life, finding the divine in each moment and transforming everyday encounters into opportunities for spiritual and emotional growth.

Join in community to create, express, and play with paint and other art mediums. Monthly sessions (last Tuesday) each with a unique theme.

<h3>Expression Sessions Community Art Circle is a monthly, in person gathering where we come together to create, connect, and reconnect with ourselves through the creative process.</h3> There is something uniquely special about creating art in community; our individual expressions come together to create something larger, connecting us to one another and to something bigger than ourselves. Each session begins with a gentle guided meditation or awareness practice before moving into open art making. Meigan offers a gentle theme each month as an optional starting point for your creative exploration, while leaving plenty of space for you to follow your own curiosity and inspiration.ALL ART MATERIALS PROVIDEDThere will be a delightful selection of art materials, including watercolours, paints, chalk and oil pastel, paint markers, markers, pencil crayons, collage materials, and more. Meigan Swanson (Expression Sessions) is a Registered Art Therapist and Therapeutic Counselor who creates safe, attuned spaces for emotional healing, authentic expression, and meaningful connection. Her work weaves together expressive arts, somatic awareness, dance and movement, and tantric principles, inviting a deeper connection to the body, sensation, emotion, and an embodied sense of safety.Meigan brings a rich background of theory and practice in attachment theory, trauma-informed care, early childhood development, and interpersonal neurobiology. With over 20 years of experience working with children, she carries a playful, curious, and compassionate presence that supports people of all ages in feeling seen, felt, and heard.Outside the studio, she is a devoted 5 Rhythms dancer, a nature lover, and a foodie enthusiast who delights in life’s simple pleasures. Through Expression Sessions, she offers individual art and somatic therapy, workshops and therapeutic series, and expressive community gatherings.
