What to look forward to
Now in its third year, the MM Music Studio Chinese Music Concert brings professional musicians together to explore Chinese music through Western instruments. This year, voice joins piano, violin and cello, adding a new dimension to the series.
Come for the music, discover different instrumental colours, and enjoy an evening that welcomes both longtime music lovers and first-time concertgoers.
During intermission, explore a silent auction featuring artwork by local artists—another way to enjoy the creativity in our community.
On the programme
One evening spans roughly fifteen centuries. Jasmine Flower is the melody Puccini wove into Turandot, so many listeners already know it without knowing its name. Pastoral Song and Night in Ulaanbaatar come from the Mongolian grasslands. And one of the art songs is set to a nomadic folk poem written around fifteen hundred years ago.
