<h3>Who's it for</h3><ul><li>Ages 11+</li><li>Physically fit participants - are you able to paddle for 1 - 2 hours on a hot day?</li></ul> <h3>Where - ✨ New Location ✨</h3><ul><li><a href="https://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=43.646013&amp;mlon=-79.345563#map=18/43.646013/-79.345563" title="https://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=43.646013&amp;mlon=-79.345563#map=18/43.646013/-79.345563" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Our new container at Biidaasige park on the south side of the new Don River</a></li><li>On your first visit please allot extra time to find the new location</li></ul> <h3>What to Bring</h3><ul><li>A second pair of shoes that can get wet, e.g. water shoes, sandals, old running shoes 👍 avoid wearing your dry pair on the water, flip flops or slide sandals 👎</li><li>A water bottle — we recommend carrying at least 750 ml on hot days 💧</li><li>Clothes that can get wet — quick dry / synthetic clothing is ideal. If no spots are left, check back later – there are often last-minute cancellations. <h3>Getting There</h3>🚗 Biidaasige Park can be reached by TTC via <a href="https://www.ttc.ca/routes-and-schedules/114/0" title="https://www.ttc.ca/routes-and-schedules/114/0" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">the 114 Queens Quay east bus from Union station</a>.🚌 There is a public parking lot on <a href="https://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=43.646600&amp;mlon=-79.350134#map=18/43.646600/-79.350134" title="https://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=43.646600&amp;mlon=-79.350134#map=18/43.646600/-79.350134" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">the north side of Commissioners street across from Biidaasige park here</a>.🚶Heading South on Cherry Street, turn left at the Porsche Dealership, cross the street and follow the straight paved path that runs along the edge of Biidaasige Park. <a href="https://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=43.646013&amp;mlon=-79.345563#map=18/43.646013/-79.345563" title="https://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=43.646013&amp;mlon=-79.345563#map=18/43.646013/-79.345563" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The container is at the east end of the paved path here</a>.See the map below for a visualisation of three different routes through Biidaasige Park to our container. <h3>Weather</h3>Kayaking is a weather-dependant activity. In case of cancellation, we will notify participants at the latest by 8 am the morning of by email. Please watch your email for updated before coming. <h3>Cancellation</h3>If you must cancel, please let us know ASAP as there are others wanting to reserve a spot. We require a cancellation notice of at least 48 hour notice prior to the event. Those that do not provide adequate notice or are "no-shows" will have restricted access to future DMWTD events.Like every DMWTD program kayaking is free to all.
