Question 1

What is The Sacred Woods?

Accepted Answer

The Sacred Woods is a care farm just east of Sherwood Park, home to rescued and senior animals, forest, wetlands and protected natural spaces. It’s a place built around caring for animals, connecting with nature and creating welcoming spaces for people to gather.

Question 2

Do I need any yoga or wellness experience?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. You don’t need to practice yoga, meditate regularly or know anything about sound, animal archetypes or any of the other experiences we’ll be sharing. Everything will be guided and you’re welcome to participate in the ways that feel comfortable for you.

Question 3

What is therapeutic touch?

Accepted Answer

A gentle, relaxing experience using slow hair brushing, scalp touch and other soft, nurturing touch. Everything is optional and consent-based. You’ll always be asked before being touched and can participate in whatever way feels comfortable for you.

Question 4

Can I come alone?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. You don’t need to know anyone before you arrive. Many people come to our gatherings on their own. There’s space to connect with others, but no pressure to be social or outgoing. Come chatty, come quiet, come as you are.
