Saturn Return, a solo musical comedy by Ciarán Volke, follows pop icon Saturninus who, after selling his soul to become famous, is sent to the pits of Hell to atone for his sins. Past, present, and future collide as he faces both trials unimaginable, and the people he left behind to become famous.This co-presentation with the Major Matt Mason Collective is the culmination of the Wildfire Development Unit, a workshop program that provides dramaturgical support to playwrights. Run Time: 55 minutesLocation: Birds and Stone Theatre, located in the basement of the Calgary Unitarians at 1703 1st Street NW, Calgary AB. About the Artist Ciarán Volke (he/him) is an award winning actor, playwright, and director based in Mohkintstis and Treaty 7 territory. He is the co-creator of the musical improv duo COWBOY, as well as the co-creator of the award winning theatre company, Three Cheese. His work spans multiple disciplines, but all of it has that special Ciarán Volke charm.
