Join Penelakut & Galiano Isl. Elders for a weekend workshop at the Millard Learning Centre on how to process deer for local food resilience.

Join us for the 7th Annual Feed the People Workshop. Winner of the 2026 Heritage BC Awards: Indigenous and Diverse Cultures Recipient.

This event is a partnership between Penelakut & Galiano Island knowledge holders, the Galiano Conservancy Association (GCA), the Galiano Community Food Program, and the Access to Media Education Society (AMES). It is offered as part of our Restoring the Balance program.

The 2026 event is supported in part by the Gencon Foundation. Funders have included the Government of Canada, Heritage BC, the Victoria Foundation, and BC Multiculturalism.
