The 519's Trans Youth Mentorship Program invites 2-Spirit, Trans and Non-Binary youth in Toronto for an exciting and fun time at The 519 Community Centre for a trans youth clothing swap and needle felting workshop!
Let's prepare for Fall and learn a technique to mend and upcycle old sweaters, that can also be used to create cute bag charms. 🍂🍄
All supplies and instruction will be provided for the needlefelting workshop.
Clothing swap guidelines
Participants can bring up to 10 items of clothing or accessories to swap with other participants. Items need to be clean and in good condition, otherwise won't be accepted. When bringing clothes, think of items that you would be happy to give away to a friend.
Items that are not claimed need to be brought back with you.
🍪 Food and drinks will be provided, as well as TTC Tokens
👕 Depending on clothing availability, there might be a limit of items to take per participant
⚧️ Please note that this event is exclusive to 2-spirit, trans and non-binary youth. Allies are kindly asked to respect the closed nature of the group.
This event is fully free of cost.
