Ravine Days Stewarding with Toronto Nature Stewards Highland Creek Park

Join Ravine Days celebrations with TNS Highland Creek !

As part of City of Toronto Ravine Days, the Toronto Nature Stewards Highland Creek team will be adding short talks (~5-10 minutes) - about the beauty, biodiversity and cultural significance of our ravines - to our scheduled nature stewarding. The topic for this event will be Indigenous Peoples and Highland Creek.

Roll up your sleeves, take part in ecological restoration by removing invasive plants and learn something new about Highland Creek Park!

This is a great chance to connect with others, enjoy some fresh air, appreciate the history of the area, and give back to our awesome green space. Whether you're a regular green thumb or just want to help out, everyone's welcome.

• We'll meet in the Parking Lot by Greenvale Park Bike Share - just at the top of the park access trail before going down into the ravine. The path is paved, but on an incline, so please be careful if it's been raining.
• If driving, free parking is available at this parking lot, on Livingston Rd N and on Greenvale Terrace. Please pay attention to parking signage
• If taking the TTC, the 86 buses stop at the intersection of Kingston Road and Celeste Drive
• If taking the GO Train, the Guildwood GO Station is a 10 minute walk from our meeting place
• Wear weather-appropriate light coloured clothing (long pants and long sleeves are best), sturdy enclosed footwear & work gloves. We will meet if it's sprinkling, but will cancel if there is severe weather. Look out for email updates or on our Instagram Stories.
• Bring your filled water bottle, charged cell phone and enthusiasm!

We'll have garbage bags and limited numbers of gloves and gardening tools. Light snacks afterwards!
