The Big Connect: Business Fraud Prevention

October’s Big Connect will be led by Jane Barton, SASCU Risk Management Analyst, and Erin Stagg, SASCU Community Lead, who will share practical examples and information to help businesses feel more informed and prepared when it comes to recognizing and preventing fraud.

Fraud and scams are becoming increasingly sophisticated, making it important for business owners and employees to understand what to watch for and how to respond.

During this session, Jane and Erin will explore real-world examples of fraud, including scams currently being seen in our region. You’ll learn how common scams work, the warning signs to look for and some of the tactics fraudsters use to create urgency, gain trust and access sensitive financial information.

There will also be time to connect with other local business owners, entrepreneurs and community partners as part of The Big Connect.
