Montreal ska-punk lifers K-Man & The 45s bring their mix of two-tone ska, punk and rock ’n’ roll to The Blue Grotto!
Montreal’s K-Man & The 45s have spent years mixing old-school ska with punk and rock ’n’ roll, backed by a horn section that moves between melodic hooks and full-throttle blasts. Drawing from the two-tone sounds of The Specials and The English Beat alongside the punk energy of bands like The Clash, their music has always left room for rock, reggae and the occasional bit of surf along the way.
The band hits Kamloops as part of the 2026 Heed the Call Tour, supporting their new album of the same name, released October 9 through Stomp Records. Recorded and mixed in Montreal, Heed the Call is their most live-focused record to date, pushing the band's two-tone foundations further into punk and rock ’n’ roll while keeping the horns firmly out front.
After years of touring and releases including Stand With the Youth and Primed to Go!, K-Man & The 45s arrive at The Blue Grotto with a brand-new record and the same anything-goes approach to ska that’s been at the centre of the band from the beginning.
