The ISA Calgary Section Automation Project Management Special Interest Group (APMSIG) is a Calgary-based local initiative designed to unite automation professionals across the industry to collaborate, share knowledge, and elevate the discipline of Automation Project Management (APM). APM is critical in industrial migrations, modernizations and new projects. Despite its importance, automation professionals often lack formal project management training, while traditional project managers may overlook the value of engaging automation specialists in the early stages. Our APMSIG aims to create a platform for cross-functional collaboration, practical insights, and professional development, focusing entirely on execution strategies, challenges, and lessons learned, free from product promotions. We meet in person once a month at 4:15pm, with the exception of June, July, August and December.
