Bloordale Ghost Walk

Bloordale Ghost Walk

Overview

Explore spooky stories, bits of local history, and suspiciously persistent ghosts on a comical guided walk through Bloordale.

Bloordale Ghost Walk

Date & Time: October 25, 2026, at 6:30 PM (ET)

Join local artist, writer, and storyteller Shari Kasman for a spooky guided ghost walk through Bloordale!

Hear about the area's curious history and discover how some of its former inhabitants have stuck around to spook unsuspecting Torontonians.

Listen to strange tales and eerie stories inspired by the neighbourhood's past as you make your way through Bloordale..

A note about this tour: This isn't your typical ghost walk! Expect a mix of deadpan humour, bizarre tales, and grim stories rooted in actual local history. It’s slightly educational, rooted in certain historical truths, but with a distinctly weird twist.

Critical Details

Where to meet: Susan Tibaldi Parkette, on the side where the playground is.

Where we are going: We’ll stay within Bloordale for the duration of the walk.

Duration: Between 60 and 90 minutes. There will be plenty of stopping for stories, so the total walking distance is relatively short.

If you’ve been on a Bloordale Ghost Walk before: This version will not repeat the stories from 2025! It will feature a mix of slightly altered stories from the 2023 and 2024 Bloordale ghost walks, and there will be a brand-new spooky tale about the neighbourhood’s brand-new spooky development.

All ages are welcome, but please note that the stories involve death, hauntings, and other spooky subjects. Some kids love this stuff; others would rather not hear about ghosts!

Make sure to dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.

About the Tour Guide

Shari Kasman is best known for her photobooks about Galleria Mall and Bloordale Beach, as well as her unusual interventions in Toronto's public spaces. Some consider her the Unofficial Mayor of Bloordale, while others would scoff at such ridiculousness. She's an artist, writer, and west-ender whose work is steeped in deadpan humour.
