Join BLSA uOttawa’s 1L Moot Workshop on Oct 21 in FTX102! Prep for the Nelligan Moot with hands-on practice & feedback. Limited to 18 spots!
Are you a first-year law student looking to build courtroom confidence and get a head start on competitive mooting , or an upper-year looking to refresh their mooting skills? The Black Law Students’ Association (BLSA) invites you to an interactive 1L Moot Workshop designed specifically to prepare you for the upcoming Nelligan Moot and future oral advocacy challenges.
During this hands-on workshop, upper-year mooters will guide you through the essential dos and don'ts of presenting arguments before a bench. You will then pair up with a partner to analyze a brief fact pattern, and construct your arguments. Two teams will be randomly selected to deliver a short simulated oral presentation before guest judges. The session will conclude with targeted, actionable feedback from experienced litigators and senior law students to help refine your delivery and question-handling skills before your first competitive moot.
Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Please note that the room capacity is limited to 18 attendees. Reserve your spot today to secure your seat!
