Slow down and reconnect with nature during a peaceful two-hour Forest Bathing experience in High Park.
🍂 Forest Bathing in High Park
The Art of Letting Go
Sunday, November 8, 2026
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
High Park, Toronto
November brings the forest into a quieter season.
Leaves have fallen. Branches are exposed. The landscape begins to conserve its energy and prepare for winter. There is something beautiful in this transition a reminder that nature does not hold onto everything.
Join us for a two-hour guided Forest Bathing experience inspired by the theme The Art of Letting Go.
Forest Bathing, or Shinrin-yoku, is not a hike or a nature lesson. It is a slow, sensory practice that invites us to step away from the pace of everyday life and experience the forest through sight, sound, touch, scent, and stillness.
We will move slowly through a standard Forest Therapy sequence, beginning with an embodied sensory practice and continuing with a series of gentle invitations designed to deepen our relationship with the natural world.
There is nothing you need to accomplish and nowhere you need to get to.
We will simply notice what the forest is doing at this time of year: releasing, resting, and making space.
Our experience will conclude with a shared tea ceremony and a final moment of reflection.
Meeting Location
We will meet in front of the High Park Nature Centre. 375 Colborne Lodge Dr.
What to Bring
Please bring water and dress appropriately for the weather. You are also encouraged to bring a sit-upon or small sitting pad and a journal if you would like to write or reflect during the experience.
Because Forest Bathing involves periods of slow movement and stillness, please dress warmer than you normally would for a hike.
Weather Policy
Forest Bathing takes place outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. In the event of inclement or unsafe weather, the session will be postponed. Your registration will be transferable to an upcoming Forest Bathing session.
Please Note:
This experience is facilitated by a Certified Forest Therapy Guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT). I am not a licensed healthcare or mental health practitioner, and this experience is not intended to provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment.
