2019 Postdoc Appreciation Week - Open House September 20, 2019

The SickKids Research Training Centre provides career and skills development to undergraduate students, graduate students, research fellows and research associates working at the SickKids Research Institute and the Hospital for Sick Children.

September 16 - 20th is National Postdoc Appreciation week and the Postdoctoral Advisory Committee (PDAC) has scheduled a week full of events to celebrate all Research Fellows at SickKids!
Schedule of Events:
September 17: Running / Walking Club at SicKKids, 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.

<LI>We'll meet in the PGCRL lobby at 11:45 a.m. and join the SickKids Walking and Running Clubs at noon in front of 555 University Avenue</LI>
<LI><A HREF="http://my.sickkids.ca/staff-support-resources/ohss/wellness-program/movement/Pages/Walking-Club.aspx" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Walks </A>are 20-30 minutes and self-paced</LI>
<LI><A HREF="http://my.sickkids.ca/staff-support-resources/ohss/wellness-program/movement/Pages/Learn-to-Run-Clinic---Running-Club.aspx" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Runs</A> are approximately 5km in 30 minutes, but the club runs together and no one is left behind!</LI>

<LI>New to running? Join the first day of the Learn to Run 5k Clinic that will get you from zero to a runner in 10 weeks</LI>
<LI>No registration required - just show up, ready to move!</LI>

September 17: PGCRL Yoga, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m., Event Room 1

<LI>Open to everyone in the PGCRL at all levels of practice</LI>

September 18: Grants Writing 101, 10 - 11:30 a.m.

<LI>The Research Training Centre is offering a Grant Writing 101 seminar to teach you the tools and techniques needed to succeed with your fall fellowship applications. The seminar will also include Q&A session about applying to fellowship awards to be held at SickKids - including CIHR Fellowships, Restracomp Fellowships, and CSTP fellowships</LI>

September 18: After Work Social, 5 p.m. to as long as you like!

<LI>Hang out with the PDAC at Duke of Somerset. PDAC will be there until 8 p.m.</LI>

September 20: Open House & Breakfast. 9:30 - 11 a.m. - PGCRL Gallery - complete this registration form to attend!
