Faculty of Extension, University of Alberta

The Faculty of Extension warmly invites you to join us in celebrating community-based, engaged research with our partners. Through featured speakers and poster presentations, learn about the many ways in which the scholarship of engagement contributes to the public good. 
This year’s research showcase, Shaping Our Cities Through Research Partnerships, puts a spotlight on community engaged and capacity-building projects that impact how we live. We invite you to discover the many initiatives in which we are involved together as citizens, activists, researchers, community members, and learners. 
Our research at the University of Alberta is deeply embedded in the communities we serve. Our students and scholars seek and nurture mutually beneficial and reciprocal partnerships across Alberta, Canada, and the world. We honour diverse forms of knowledge and learn from experts of all kinds, so that together, we can tackle major social issues.
The research showcase will bring together scholars, students, community members, and community leaders to celebrate the outstanding engaged research in which we are already involved in at the Faculty of Extension, and explore the role of engaged research and partnerships in shaping our cities and positively impacting communities.
We kindly ask that you RSVP, as refreshments will be served at this event. All are welcome.
