Get ready for an unforgettable 26+ hours of fun, teamwork, and innovation at the AutoHACK! This exciting two-day event begins on Friday, March 21st at 5 PM at the ABSC Event Space in the Peter B. Moore Advanced Technology Centre (N Building) at Georgian College's Barrie Campus. Things kick off with delicious food while our facilitator gives an overview of what will be happening at this year's hackathon!This annual overnight 26+ hour Hackathon is designed to engage post-secondary students from all disciplines, in an immersive problem-solving experience to work together, get creative, and build exciting solutions. AutoHACK gives you the chance to team up with other students and work with industry mentors to tackle real-world challenges in automotive manufacturing.Here’s how it works: You’ll arrive Friday evening, enjoy dinner, and then form teams of 4 to 6 participants with the help of our facilitator. Once teams are formed, the challenges focused on Automotive Manufacturing will be revealed. You and your team will work together to develop a solution, continuing overnight and into Saturday, March 22nd. On Saturday, you’ll present your solution during preliminary judging to a panel of judges! The top solutions from the preliminary round will move forward to present to the entire group for a chance to win prizes totalling over $5K! The event will conclude with a celebration dinner for everyone followed by networking.Throughout the event we will support you with activations, resources and mentors to help your team come up with your solution. Regardless of your level of expertise, from beginner to expert, all skill levels are welcome! You’ll leave with valuable insights and new skills! The AutoHACK is more than just a competition—it’s about collaborating, learning, and having fun while transforming your ideas into impactful solutions. Competing for over $5,000 in prizes, the stakes are high, but the excitement and opportunities are even greater. Get ready for an experience you won't forget! We hope you will join us! Collaboration: Work in teams, with students from various programs. Mentorship: Get expert advice and guidance from industry professionals. Prizes: Compete for over $5,000 in prizes. Food &amp; Refreshments: We provide meals, snacks, and drinks to keep you energized throughout the event. WHAT TO BRING: Laptop &amp; Charger: Your essential tools for staying connected and working efficiently. Ideas &amp; Energy: Bring your creativity and enthusiasm to make the most of the event.
