Engineering Workshop designed for high school students interested in exploring the field! Includes presentations, activities & prizes!

The TeamUP Science’s 2026 Engineering Workshop (EW) is an in-person event taking place in NREF over two days on March 7 and 8, 2026. On March 7, the workshop will be held from 9:00am - 4:15pm and on March 8, from 9:00am - 3:00pm. EW 2026 is designed to provide high school students with an introduction to engineering, through various technical challenges and projects, as well as engaging information sessions! A combination of interactive activities and discussions with engineering students will be dispersed across the two-day event. Activities will be hosted by TeamUP Science as well as in partnership with other external groups in engineering. Lunch will be provided for participants between 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM both days of the event. During lunch on day 1, the Engineering Students’ Society (ESS) will give a presentation outlining what it’s like being an engineering student at the University of Alberta. Their volunteers will be open to fielding questions from our participants. Day 2’s lunch will involve a panel consisting of engineering undergraduate students, graduate students and engineering professionals.

Note that this is a two day event. By purchasing a ticket you are registering to attend BOTH days.
