Assists physicians, residents and nurse practitioners in acquiring knowledge &amp;  skills in chronic pain management &amp; opioid prescribing.

In partnership with Doctors Nova Scotia, the AMN-P&A is pleased to offer The Safer Opioid Prescribing Program. Through the webinar series and workshop physicians and nurse practitioners will better be able to:•	Employ multi-modal approaches to complex chronic pain;•	Initiate &amp; manage effective opioid therapy;•	Prevent &amp; address opioid use disorder;•	Communicate &amp; collaboration with patients and other health care providers to optimize patient care.FORMAT (3 Live Webinars + 1 full-day virtual Workshop) Please note: Sessions are NOT recorded. Participants are required to attend all live webinars and the workshop. Those who fail to attend a webinar will not be permitted to proceed in the course. • Webinars (8:00pm-10:00pm) Tuesday, March 8, 2022 (Assessing Chronic Complex Pain); Tuesday, April 12, 2022 (Prescribing Opioids in Chronic Pain); Wednesday, May 11, 2022 (Addressing Opioid Challenges &amp; Addiction) •Virtual Workshop (8:30am-4:30pm) Saturday, May 27, 2022REGISTRATION COSTCost includes participation in all three webinars and the virtual workshop.ACCREDITATION This Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by the Continuing Professional Development, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto for up to 27.0 Mainpro+ credits. Participants must attend all three webinars and the workshop, and complete all pre &amp; post assignments to claim the full 27 Mainpro+ credits.This activity is accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
