Debbie King is a Toronto-based fitness leader and community builder. Working in collaboration with community members and organizations, she offers events and opportunities for folks to get physically active and active in the Parkdale community. Access and inclusion are key elements to all events.

A beginner-friendly warm up and 1K neighbourhood walk/jog/run led by Shane MacKinnon, and sponsored by Koffee Kween.

Close Avenue Parkette

<h2>All are welcome to join this beginner-friendly group walk/jog/run through the South Parkdale neighbourhood. </h2><h3>Pop out for an afternoon pick-me-up ; just enough to get the heart-pumping and muscles moving before the sun goes down.</h3><h3></h3><h3>Includes:</h3><ul><li>Group warm-up led by Shane MacKinnon</li><li>Approx. 15 minutes of walking/jogging/running</li><li>Covid screening and physical distancing</li><li><em><strong>plus</strong></em> a complimentary &quot;hot milk latte&quot; (vegan, caffeine-free) to enjoy post-run, courtesy of Koffee Kween.</li></ul><h3></h3><h3>Location:</h3><p>Start and end at Horsey Park (adjacent to Queen Victoria P.S. on the south west corner of King Street West and Close Avenue)</p><h3></h3><h3>Reminders:</h3><ul><li>Stay home if you are sick</li><li>Dress for the weather, layers are suggested</li><li>Check your email for any weather-related updates</li><li>Inclusive space with zero tolerance for hate of any kind</li><li>Maximum 10 participants. <h3>About Shane</h3><p>Shane has lived in Parkdale for over 15 years. He works at <a href="https://f45training.ca/parkdale/schedule" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">F45 Parkdale </a>as a personal trainer. One of Shane&#x27;s major fitness interests is long distance running. He has completed four full length marathons including the Boston Marathon as well as several half marathons.
