The Welland Heritage Council and Multicultural Centre is a non-profit organization providing newcomer settlement services, emergency shelter, women's programing, and events to benefit all members of our community.Our employment program through Employment Solutions offers many services to help you be successful in the workforce. We have expertise in assisting newcomer professionals access the information they need to gain access to their own profession in Canada or assist in finding a transferable skill that will get you a job quickly. Our full service office provides everyone in the community the same opportunity to learn how to get back into the workforce and MORE.

Welland Heritage Council and Multicultural Centre/Employment Solutions’ second free virtual Black History Celebration

You’re cordially invited to Welland Heritage Council and Multicultural Centre/Employment Solutions’ second free virtual ‘Black History Celebration’ events. This year, we partner with Meridian Credit Union, and we will be hosting four great sessions every Wednesday starting on February 2nd, 2022. Event Dates:February 2nd, 2022, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. – Welland Heritage Council and Multicultural Centre’s annual “Black History Celebration.’February 9th, 2022, from noon to 1 p.m. – An hour with ‘Dr. Christopher Taylor, Kimberly Madume and Emily Radcliffe’ on CBC Radio StationFebruary 16th, 2022, from noon to 1 p.m. – Panel Discussion focusing on ‘Black, Health and Finances’February 23rd, 2022, from noon to 1 p.m. – Panel Discussions continued If you wish to donate towards a Scholarship Fund, awarded to marginalized high school, Grade 12 students who are pursuing a post-secondary education, please respond to this email. A total of 8 students have received funds since 2018. A tax receipt will be provided.Thank you for changing lives of our youth, the future of tomorrow!
