Creative Music SeriesBLASER LOSSING DUONew York based jazz pianist, composer and recording artist Russ Lossing is known worldwide for his highly personal and unique improvising voice. Samuel Blaser is a 21st century trombonist based in Berlin. The foundations of Blaser’s art are the breadth of his influences, his technical fluency, and the clarity with which he applies these assets. A rare and exciting opportunity to see two masters of jazz and improvisation in a rare duo situation. Sure to be a transcendent and beautifully challenging exploration of the outer limits of instrumental expression, this duo features two of the most idiosyncratic musical talents.LADYFINGERDiane Roblin (piano &amp; keyboards) and Kayla Milmine (soprano saxophone) aka “Ladyfinger” are two distinguished players within Toronto’s creative music scene. Both playful and expressive, they explore their own original compositions through whimsical dialogues and progressive improvisation. Their soulful interpretations of compositions by McCoy Tyner, Carla Bley, Wayne Shorter, and other greats are unique and engaging.$15 advance purchase via Eventbrite or $20 at door. It&#x27;s a wonderful little lounge bar with great sound.ps. food can be ordered from La Luna next door, in case you are in a rush to eat before, or you get the munchies during the performance.
