Explore the fascinating world of wetlands ecosystems, learn about Earthwise Agassiz wetland restoration project and the relationship between wetlands and farming. In this 45 minute workshop we will cover what wetlands are, the different shapes and sizes they come in, the values of wetlands on our landscape and incorporating wetlands on your farm property using Earthwise as an example. If you have difficulty registering, contact projects@leps.bc.ca About the Speakers:Katie McPartlinMy name is Katie McPartlin, I am the Environmental Projects Coordinator at Earthwise Agassiz. I have a Bachelor&#x27;s degree in Environmental and Resource Science from Trent University. My interests and education are largely freshwater monitoring and habitat restoration, although I&#x27;ve had broad work experiences in the realm of conservation and small scale flower farming. Anna MacLeodI am Anna MacLeod, Environmental Farms Project Coordinator with Earthwise Agassiz. I have a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Environmental Studies with a minor in Botany from the University of Victoria. I have also completed my Permaculture Design Certification and managed small scale organic farms for 5 years in BC. My interests include growing, eating, and sharing my knowledge and passion for farming, food, and plant life.
