The movement to organize art and cultural workers has been steadily growing despite pandemic setbacks. Have we already seen benefits from that movement? How can we ensure that organizing is accessible and beneficial to all workers?Work Of Art: A Monthly Conversation Series hosted by Means of ProductionHosted by Means of Production, Work Of Art is a monthly conversation series focused on exploring the meaning and impact of labour in our lives. Part book club, part salon, and part social club, registration to this 2 hour mostly-digital series is completely free and open to anyone who wants to attend; while we come from an arts work background and may speak from that experience, labour is universal and all perspectives are valid and pertinent.This isn’t a class or a lecture series. There are no experts in the room. This series is intended to create space for conversations and curiosity. There is no quiz at the end, and if we’re being honest, you don’t even have to read the books. Attendance to all sessions is not mandatory to participate in the series.All books featured in this series are available at a 10% discount from Queen Books when you indicate you’re joining the Means of Production book club in your order. We’ve also included links to the books through Kobo (for ebooks) and the Toronto Public Library (for print, ebook, and audiobook). All books should be available through most libraries.
