Special Meeting of the NSCSW

Nova Scotia College of Social Workers

The Nova Scotia College of Social Workers is holding a special meeting before the AGM, for members to discuss & vote on motions.

<h2>Eligibility</h2><p><strong>Members of the NSCSW</strong> may join the special meeting on Zoom. All members in good standing are eligible to vote on motions, including associate, retired and student members, except those with limited registration (e.g. temporary registration, restricted to telepractice only from outside NS). Members will need to register here on Eventbrite to receive the login details of the online meeting. <strong>During registration you must enter your NSCSW member number accurately</strong> to confirm that your membership is in good standing and you are eligible to vote. </p><p><strong>Non-members</strong> cannot join the Zoom meeting, but will be able to watch a livestream, and may RSVP to this event to get a reminder email with a link.</p><h2>Agenda</h2><p>NSCSW members will be invited to discuss and debate regulation and policy related to:</p><ul><li>recommended private practice fees,</li><li>adoption of sexual misconduct standards of practice, and</li><li>a proposal for regulation of clinical social work.</li></ul><p>Details will be provided by email before the meeting.</p><h2>Joining in online</h2><p>Non-members just need  access to a computer or mobile device with a reasonably reliable internet connection. The livestream will be shared on our social media, but you can RSVP to this event to get a reminder email with a link.</p><p>Members also need access to a computer or mobile device that can use <a href="https://zoom.us/test" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Zoom (click here to test it out)</a>.
