Science: Fact or Fiction

Island WISE at Cape Breton University

<p>The event is open to girls age 10 -16 who will examine examples of bad science from from TV, newspapers, movies and magazines with experts from each field (Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Math).     Attendees will be asked to respond/explain the science behind what they are seeing. Prizes will be awarded based on the best science explanations.   Experts will be on hand to officially explain the science behind each example. The event is free for participants! Register early as space is limited!</p>
