Last year we depaved over 100m2 of unused asphalt and now will be planting native flowers and shrubs to create a diverse pollinator garden!

Help us complete our depave paradise project at Seaside Park on Saturday June 11th! Let&#x27;s transform pavement into green space! Depaving is a great way to help restore urban areas which are predominantly pavement and asphalt. The Depave Paradise program, coordinated through Green Communities Canada is an opportunity to remove unused or damaged pavement and replace it with green space. This is the first depave project to take place in Saint John and we are thrilled to complete the planting phase with help from our wonderful volunteers. This pollinator planting will be marked on the national scale as part of The Butterflyway Project! The Butterflyway Project is a citizen led program that encourages pollinator plantings in urban areas to support bees and butterflies.
