Ottawa Art Gallery (OAG) is an independent non-profit public art gallery committed to the acquisition, presentation, interpretation and dissemination of contemporary art for the benefit of the local arts community. Its programs explore a variety of issues and include exhibitions, talks, lectures, tours and publications. OAG has a growing permanent collection of historical and contemporary works associated with the region. It also houses the Firestone Collection of Canadian Art, which consists of more than 1,600 works of art assembled by Ottawa collectors O.J. and Isobel Firestone, who acquired the works from the early 1950s to the 1970s.__________

Thursday, May 26, 2022 - 6:30pm to 7:30pm (Eastern Standard Time)Join us in person to learn observational sketching techniques from an educator at the Ottawa Art Gallery.On May 26, we will analyze Cara Tierney&#x27;s large sculpture titled THEY and learn how to draw different lettering styles. Materials will be provided and participants will be able to bring their drawings back home with them!The workshop will be lead by OAG Learning and Engagement Assistant Alexia-Leana Kokozaki, a Canadian-Cypriot artist based in the Ottawa-Gatineau region.________________________________________________________________________________________Jeudi 26 mai 2022 - de 18 h 30 à 19 h 30 (heure normale de l&#x27;Est)Soyez des nôtres, en personne, pour apprendre des techniques de dessin d’observation en compagnie de guides-interprètes de la Galerie d’art d’Ottawa.Le 26 mai, nous analyserons l&#x27;œuvre monumentale THEY de l&#x27;artiste Cara Tierney et nous apprendrons à dessiner différents styles de lettrage.
